So looks like I don't have an artist for November.
Well damn...you'd think getting people to volunteer to be interviewed would be relatively easy...apparently not. I foolishly assume people are like me and ready to hop in front of a camera at any given moment. I'm just so utterly surprised that this is not the case. I mean come on where are those facebook people who post every minute detail of their lives to their 400 billion friends when you need them? I'd bet they would want to be interviewed...free publicity...their own youtube video link...this stuff is golden! Besides there is no cool art interview show out there...they could be with me on the cutting edge...I'm trying to change the future of artists everywhere!!! It'll happen like I've said I'm an optimist and if that doesn't work I'm overly ambitious and f*@king stubborn as a mule. Well as my good friend said to me the other day (totally different context but I'm using it here anyway) The train is leaving and I'm on it...

ENjoY!
Hope to have his interview up mid-month. Don't know if there will be a how-to segment but I'm an optimist so we'll see...

Deadlines
So tomorrow is November 1st. I was really hoping to have my next artist interview done to post...but that is not going to happen. Heck at this current moment I'm not sure who my next artist is going to be. Well that's fun and exciting in a completely overwhelming anxiety ridden way. As the answer to my self imposed question is probably not going to be solved by tonight I'm going to go trick or treating with my son and freak out tomorrow :)
Happy Halloween!

How To Video
Yay! It's 4 in the morning and I just finished my How To video. I'm not completely satisfied with it but creating this video was a great learning experience. I'd love feedback as to how you think this could improve.

If you start at the top the only way to go is down so in this case I'll happily accept I'm starting at the bottom and it can only get better from here :)

How To
Funny story...true story. I thought, falsely, that putting together a 3-4 minute how to video would be simple....easier than the interview...how could I be so wrong ? When I originally edited my footage it was over 7 minutes yikes..and honestly even I got bored watching it. I was aiming for entertaining not long and wordy.
So I'm still working on it..reshooting, doing voice overs, lots of editing... my goal is to have it up by tonight...next time I'll know better! Happy Arting

Introduction
Hi! I'm Jennifer Partridge an artist in Raleigh NC and I need to move forward. I'm starting this blog because I find being accountable via public scrutiny very effective.
The goal of this project is to introduce an artist a month. These introductions will include samples of the artist work, a short interview, and a how-to segment. I will be beginning with myself in October. Whoo just writing that make me feel like I'm going to implode with anxiety.
Awesome.

P.S....Ok my original plan was to include a photo of myself with my first post...oh how funny haha my life is. You would think being a professional photographer taking a self-portrait would be relatively easy...well apparently not. I have requested the help of my friends only to find we have so much fun together we forget to take my dang photo...well hopefully before I'm done editing my video the photo will happen.
